New Equipping Class: Church Matters

We would all be nervous to find out that the pilot of our plane knew how to take off but didn’t know how to land. We’d all be resistant to a doctor who only read about surgery, but never actually did one. And we all should be concerned with a church that doesn’t really know what it’s for.
Ecclesiology (the study of the church) is an area that many Christians don’t often think about (or even care to think about!). They view it as the pastor’s job, not their’s. But the New Testament says otherwise. According to the Bible, God’s people have a special calling to declare and display His glory. It should be no surprise that God has designed the church to function in a way that helps us actually fulfill that calling. Church membership is an office, a job assignment, a spiritual privilege for every Christian to be a part of.
We hope you’ll come out on Wednesday evenings for our upcoming equipping class Church Matters: Appreciating and Applying God’s Design for the Local Church. Our goal for these sessions is to learn from the Bible a theological vision for why church matters and how we can lean into our calling to be a church that honors Christ in holiness and love.
Join us Wednesday Evenings at the Bristol Art Museum at 6:30pm.
