God’s word speaks to parenting issues we face. Parenting does not have to be overwhelming. God has a great plan for your family. In our day together you will gain a broad overview of what Scripture has to say along with some wisdom in how to apply it to your unique situation.
What Will We Cover?
In our time together, we will cover:
- Unseen cultural influences on our parenting.
- What God has to say about parenting.
- Your two tools as a parent.
- Why to expect obedience and disobedience.
- The character chart and how that helps the whole family.
- Discipline issues.
- Tons of practical advice.
- And lots of Q and A.
We also provide time for you and your spouse to pray and discuss what you are learning. You will leave with a plan!

Chap Bettis is the author of The Disciple-Making Parent: Raising Your Children to Love and Follow Jesus Christ. He also is a frequent conference speaker and the executive director of The Apollos Project, a ministry devoted to helping parents disciple their children. For the previous 25 years, he was lead pastor in a New England church plant. He and his wife Sharon, have four adult children and reside in Rhode Island.
As a pastor in New England for the past 25 years, Chap understands both the word of God and the everyday issues of family life. In addition, Chap grew up in a Christian home and wrestled with questions about the faith. He also wrote The Donut Date Journal, Evangelism for the Tongue-Tiedand The Fearless Apologetics Curriculum.
