No program can produce the distinctive community of the local church in all that its called to be. At Mount Hope Church we want to focus on culture, not programs. A church’s culture is something that flows from shared identity, calling, and purpose. All that we do seeks to reinforce a culture of gospel-shaped, intentional community and outreach that is fueled by the Word of God. It’s simple, yet profound. As a famous sociologist once wrote, “The medium is the message.” Our desire is that the message of the gospel would be put on display in the life of our church community. As Jesus said, “By this all people will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another” (John 13:35). And as He prayed, “May they all be one, as You, Father, are in Me and I am in You. May they also be one in Us, so the world may believe You sent Me” (John 17:21).

We gather together for worship and are formed by God’s Word.

We do life together and seek to put God’s Word into action.

We seek to love our neighbors and share God’s Word with them.

In short, we are a community that follows Jesus together as we seek to declare and display His good news.
