MHC Communion Policy
At MHC, we follow the historic practice of “close communion” (ie. communion made available to all who are baptized and meaningfully connected with a gospel-affirming church). We do not believe that communion should be “closed” (ie. only available to Christians of one denomination or church). Nor do we believe that communion should be simply “open” (ie. available to anyone regardless of faith commitment or church membership). Though our policy is brief, and not a position paper, we do hope it provides you with a biblical basis for how it is we understand the proper observance of the Lord’s Table.
