Mid-Week Bible Study

7 January 2020

Blessed Lord, who caused all holy Scriptures to be written for our learning: Grant us so to hear them, read, mark, learn, and inwardly digest them, that we may embrace and ever hold fast the blessed hope of everlasting life, which you have given us in our Savior Jesus Christ; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

The above prayer was penned by Thomas Cranmer almost 500 years ago. These words communicate the power of God’s Word for both the mind and the heart. It is by reading, marking, learning, and inwardly digesting that we come to embrace and hold fast to the hope that we have in Christ.

We’re excited to announce that on February 5th, we’ll be kicking off our semester of mid-week Bible study! Our goal is to become better students of the Bible and more faithful followers of Jesus. In this 13-week inductive Bible study, we’ll dig into the relevant and challenging book of Amos the prophet. We will dig deep, wrestle with difficult questions, and seek to be changed increasingly into the people God would have us to be.

Location: Bristol Art Museum (10 Wardwell Street)

Time: Wednesdays at 7pm
