Each month we like to recommend one book for our church family to read. Occasionally, we’ll host discussion groups to dig deeper into the substance of that month’s book. Whether you read it alone, or invite a fellow member to read along with you, we hope these books will expand and deepen your mind and soul. Our goal in all of this is “love that comes from a pure heart, a good conscience, and a sincere faith” (1 Tim. 1:5).
February’s Book of the Month will be Delighting in the Trinity: An Introduction to the Christian Faith by Michael Reeves. Why is God love? Because God is a Trinity. Why can we be saved? Because God is a Trinity. How are we able to live the Christian life? Through the Trinity. In this accessible, yet profound little book, Michael Reeves shows us that all that Christianity is is because God is triune – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Reflecting on biblical teaching and church history, this books beckons us to delight ourselves in the God who is three in one.
“Indeed, in the triune God is the love behind all love, the life behind all life, the music behind all music, the beauty behind all beauty and the joy behind all joy.”
